Benedict is exactly what people think of when they hear ''tom cat''. He''s huge, he has chubby cheeks, and he is so, SO easy going. We think he''s a handsome fellow, with a distinguished-looking salt and pepper coat. Benedict is a bit fearful of dogs (who can blame him!) but he loves people and has not shown any reaction to cats so far at the shelter. He used to simply hide in his kennel, afraid to introduce himself. Lately, however, this guy has decided that hiding isn''t his style. Instead, he prefers to make friends with anyone and everyone who will open his kennel door! He enjoys cuddles and loves butt scratches, and never complains when a certain staff member showers him in kisses every morning. (He won''t say it, but she''s convinced he looks forward to it.)
Like everything else in life, there is no such thing as perfect. Benedict''s only flaw is that he is FIV+. FIV positive kitties can still live long and healthy lives, but he should remain an indoor only cat and we would recommend he go to a home with no kitty siblings or ones who are also FIV+.
